Ayşenur Ataman is a Ph.D candidate in Human Development program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York and adjunct lecturer in College of Staten Island and Brooklyn College. Her research interests concern civic engagement and political participation of children and young people with an emphasis on how their development is influenced by their social interactions through different activities within different sociocultural contexts.
At the New Media Lab, she will be working on her dissertation research, which is focused on the ways mothers, children and media users interact using interactive digital media, more specifically Instagram, using #fashionkids and #wildandfreekids hashtags.
