Project: Provincial Reports on Early Twentieth Century Brazil

I am one of two Durst Scholars at the New Media Lab working on the construction of the Virtual New York web site. This site is designed as a tool for people of all ages and interests to learn about the history of New York City. It relies primarily on materials from the Old York Library, the repository for the wide-ranging collection of New York City-related books, maps, images, newspapers and memorabilia started by the real estate developer Seymour Durst and donated to the CUNY Graduate Center in 2000. I am also a history graduate student at CUNY, focusing primarily on urban and gender history. My dissertation will focus on late 20th century discourse about rape.
