Project: The Asian American Experience in Environmental Justice

Lisa Ng

Lisa is a native New Yorker with a passion for all things trash. She is interested in race, waste, data, their relationships to one another, and how they are used to tell stories that affect lives. As an undergraduate at Brooklyn College, she studied Urban Environmental Policy – the intersection between waste management, politics, and environmental justice. As an avid storyteller, she believes in the power of stories to educate, inspire, and create change towards a more sustainable future.

She is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Studies degree in Data Visualization at the CUNY Graduate Center and working on her thesis about the Asian American experience at the 1991 People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit.
