Michele Chinitz is a doctoral candidate in English at The Graduate Center, CUNY. Her research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century Anglophone and German literature, particularly in the areas of postcolonial studies, the novel, media studies, translation, and critical theory. Her dissertation project examines music and nationalism in modern fiction to situate debates about aesthetics and politics across literary representations of colonial and fascist histories. She teaches courses at the City College of New York on contemporary global anglophone fiction and world literature.
