I am a second year doctoral student in the Graduate Center’s Sociology program. After receiving my B.A. in Sociology and History from Hunter College in 2006 I returned to work as an adjunct lecturer in their Sociology department.

My areas of research are varied and include consumer culture, gender stereotypes, urban ethnography, and the sociology of media. At the New Media Lab I have been able to combine most of those areas for my project Redefining the Hippies: New Approaches to Understanding A Social and Cultural Movement. I am creating a website that will provide a tool for users to both learn about the Hippies and add their own accounts and media from their personal collections.
