Christie Sillo is a doctoral candidate in the Sociology program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She holds an M.A. in Sociology from City College and a B.A. in American Studies with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Connecticut. Her research interests revolve around intersections of race, class, gender, and family. In the New Media Lab, she is working on her dissertation research examining how interracial couples are being digitally produced, constructed, and consumed on social media.
