Heather Spence is a doctoral candidate in the Biopsychology and Behavioral Neuroscience program at the CUNY Graduate Center. She incorporates music and science in her search for integrative solutions to apparent conflicts between human development and coastal ecosystems. Collecting baseline monitoring data is key to her effort, and networking is essential. She founded GRACIASS, a global initiative for interdisciplinary investigation and promotion of sustainability solutions. Her current project at the New Media Lab focuses on dolphin bioacoustics.
