Igor Rodríguez Calderón is a doctoral student in anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Anthropology at Queens College. His interests include urban history, sociolinguistics, the signification of space, and heritage resources. His dissertation research explores the formation of national identity concepts in Bogotá, Colombia throughout the twentieth century with an emphasis on the projection of ‘the indigenous’ as an aspect of nationality.
