Bree Kessler

Bree Kessler is a doctoral student in the Environmental Psychology Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and an adjunct lecturer at New York University and Marymount Manhattan College. Her interests are media, gender and the built environment, reproductive/sexual health, and participatory action research. Her master’s thesis in public health and natural resource policy utilized the Photovoice method to show gender differences in the ways individuals created environmental imaginaries. She is a trained birthing doula and reiki practitioner and a frequent contributor to Bitch: A Feminist Response to Pop Culture on issues related to public health and the media.
