Emily Price

Emily Price is a doctoral student in English Literature at the CUNY Graduate Center.  She is the recipient of a 2019 CUNY-New York Botanical Garden Fellowship through the Humanities Institute and the Mellon Foundation. She is a medievalist whose work explores representations of mental health in medieval life writing and medical texts, and their transmission and relevance to modern readers. Her academic interests include material culture, book history, affect studies, disability, ecocriticism, and media studies. Her current research focuses on medievalisms in contemporary American society, particularly in New York City. She teaches at Queens College.
