Friederike Windel

Friederike Windel is a doctoral student in Critical Social Personality Psychology at the Graduate Center, CUNY and adjunct instructor at College of Staten Island, CUNY. She is interested in critical race and whiteness studies, positionality, gender, affect and immigration. Her past project integrated these interests by focusing on how white German volunteers discursively construct refugees and themselves. Currently, Friederike is developing a new project on the affective and embodied technologies of whiteness in Germany for which she plans to analyze discourses on digital spaces and focus groups.
